Coaching for women
Your voice in everyday choices.
An individual programme for women who want to reconsider their priorities or take a project forward. Starting from what you want today, we explore how the roles you hold and expectations associated with being a woman influence your personal and professional choices.
When your priorities change.
You would like to take on a position of responsibility and are looking for your own way of leading others. You may be asked to be more assertive, then seen as unhelpful when you are.
Or you want to return to studying. Making time requires reviewing family commitments, including those that have fallen to you until now without ever being discussed.
In the programme, we can start with situations like these and the choices you would like to make. Together, we consider which requests you want to respond to and which arrangements you can revisit, taking account of your responsibilities and the practical limits of your life.
Making room for what you want.
Let us return to the wish to study. The course might require one evening a week: which commitments fill that evening, and how was it decided that they were yours? We can examine the family arrangements together and identify which agreements you need to revisit.
There may be a practical solution, while asking for it still feels unfair to others. It is useful to pause over that doubt. How much weight does the idea carry that being available is your responsibility? Which commitments do you want to keep because they matter to you too?
Our conversation helps you formulate a specific request: which evening you want to devote to the course, for how long, and what cooperation you would like to be able to count on. Other people’s availability and financial or organisational constraints also play a part.
If the course needs to be postponed, we can clarify which conditions would need to change for you to consider it again.
How we organise the programme.
During the introductory conversation, you tell me what you would like to work on. We establish whether coaching is suitable and agree on the programme’s objective.
Before starting, we define the number and frequency of sessions, allowing time to try out in everyday life what emerges from our conversations. During the programme, we review how useful the work is and any changes to the objective.
At the end, we revisit what you have understood and the choices you want to take forward. Any further work is agreed around a new objective.
Il coraggio di essere fragile.
In my book, I also tell the story of the years when being a wife and mother took up so much space that I found it hard to recognise what I wanted for myself. Writing helped me return to the choices of that period and the meaning I had attached to being a dependable woman.
The story is told in fictionalised form. It is a way to discover my experience more closely and the questions behind my attention to these themes.
